The Beloved Gorge

Let us probe the silent places, let us seek what luck betide us;
Let us journey to a lonely land I know.
There’s a whisper on the night-wind, there’s a star agleam to guide us,
And the Wild is calling, calling . . . let us go.
— Robert William Service

The Red River Story

Brought to you from the scenic wilderness of Kentucky's Red River Gorge, our unique blends of spices have been curated to add that perfect finish to any meal, from the campfire to your own backyard grill. The inspiration for Red River Spice Co was born amidst primitive campsites that nestle the Red River's sandy banks. Our founders wanted a line of versatile spice blends, ideal for improvised campfire dishes that could also find a home in any cook's kitchen. We hand blend each of our mixes to ensure the highest degree of quality control and stand by our commitment to make every meal a delicious one, no matter where your adventure takes you.

Since high school, owners David Nash and Cory Storch have grappled over who is the most masterful in the kitchen. In what will be remembered as one of the great armistices in modern history, our founders joined forces to bring you Red River Spice Co. While their great debate still rages on, David and Cory have dedicated themselves to bringing premium spice blends to kitchen tables and campground socials alike. Our unique tins allow you to take the delicious seasonings anywhere your boots will travel, to the highest mountains or the nearest pantry. Red River Spice Co. combines our love for the untamed beauty of nature with the desire to share our delicious spice blends with the world. We hope that you enjoy our spices as much as we enjoy making them for you.

Though not yet as prolific as their contemporaries in the spice industry (most notably Posh and Scary Spice) our founders distinguish themselves with an uncompromising commitment to high quality and flavorful seasonings. We believe that the most valuable part of life is sharing it with the people that mean the most to you, and what better way than share a meal? From the Red River family to yours, we thank you for choosing Red River Spice Co. and helping us put a little spice in your life.

Cory Storch

A native to Lousiville, Ky - Cory graduated from the University of Louisville in 2018 with a bachelor’s in Finance. Shortly after he moved to Atlanta to pursue an offer with a regional home builder, developing market analytic systems and serving as land acquisition coordinator. Yes, the company provided the head shot shown to the left, yes it was completely worth it. Cory would go on to join the National Guard where he currently resides in Florida before being persuaded to start a spice company with fellow delinquent and now business partner - David.

As an avid hunter, fisherman, and general outdoorsman, Cory spends most of his free time collecting dirt and sunburns in the Florida back country.

David Nash

Born and raised in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, David has always had a passion for cooking, the outdoors, and writing bios about himself. He spent some time at Murray State University majoring in Wildlife Conservation and a few semesters of Communications classes at Spalding University. He realized pretty quickly that college wasn’t going to be an important factor in his life, despite his absolutely *stellar grades. He wanted something more out of life, so he decided to bartend. Three years into his career as a drink-slinger, a global pandemic shut down his bar and gave him an immense amount of free time, free time that he used to camp, hike, fish, whip up a few delectable spice blends, and convince his buddy Cory to invest in him. The rest is history.

On an average day, you can find David at his job as a Boat and Powersports Sales Consultant, or at one of the world class fisheries that Kentucky has to offer trying his hardest to catch a fish.

*Stellar: we don’t share the same definition as Webster Dictionary*

David hard at work

Red River Spice Co isn’t the duo’s first project. Here David can be seen reviewing their podcast which never got the recognition it deserved in mainstream markets

A Moment of Realization

An opportunistic photographer captures the sobering moment where Cory realizes there won’t be as many helicopters and parachutes as promised in the recruitment commercials. Go Army.

Triumph on the Water

Our founders are familiar with winning. On this day, after battling the bitter winds of a Florida winter (78°F), David and Cory come from behind to win the 2021 Pufferfish Classic. We put this same undeterred spirit into every Red River tin so that you can celebrate your victories as they should be, with a tasty dinner.

Early Product Development

We tirelessly refine and perfect our creations to deliver a supremely delicious product line. Here we see the results of an over ambitious Appalachian Jerk recipe, perhaps too hot for the average customer. We decided to take out some of the cayenne pepper.
